The Everything
At a Dream Farm Commons residency in 2019, I made an installation of several furniture pieces. I reupholstered their couch, a chair, and an ottoman, I crafted a table cloth, and a bear rug. I kept all the scraps from each piece and crafted a dress to represent the idea that we are made of pieces and the pieces don't lose their identity or integrity but rather form a new body, collectively. I wore the dress to the opening as the thread that tied all the work together. #connection #sewing #thethreadthattiesusalltogether
